Your Experience: From Theory to Practice

This half-day or full-day adventure is structured for learning through fun:

Welcome & Gear Up: We’ll meet at the dock, where you’ll meet your guide and crew. We provide all necessary high-quality gear: mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit (if needed), and a speargun suited to your level.
Briefing & Safety Workshop: Before hitting the water, we’ll have a detailed yet engaging session covering:
- Safe speargun handling (loading, firing, and unloading).
- Basic breathing and relaxation techniques for freediving.
- Underwater hand signals and communication.
- Species identification (learning which fish we can hunt sustainably according to local regulations).
Navigation & Shallow Water Practice: We’ll head to a calm, sheltered area with shallow water and excellent visibility. Your guide will help you get comfortable swimming with the gear and performing your first practice dives, focusing on technique and comfort before the hunt begins.
The Hunt (Direct Supervision): Once you’re ready, we’ll move to areas with more fish activity, hand-picked for safety. Your guide will point out target species and accompany you on every dive, offering real-time tips. The thrill of your first catch is indescribable!
Return & The Perfect Finish: After the session, we’ll head back to port. If you wish, we can help you clean your catch so you can take it home or, if time permits, enjoy fresh ceviche or fillets prepared at a local partner restaurant (optional).
